About the mission:

  • This Mission will visit Riyadh from 14th to 18th May 2016 coinciding with the Saudi Health Exhibition.
  • It will be led by Michael Thomas, Executive Chairman and CEO of Pathfinder Middle East.
  • This Mission is supported by the Saudi British Joint Business Council and AEI Riyadh who will be instrumental in arranging the delegation’s programme.
  • An “Early Bird Discount” of £200 will be available to those delegates who confirm their participation by returning the full Application Form and deposit payment by Friday 1st April.

  • The programme is likely to include meetings with hospitals, healthcare providers, TVTC and a roundtable with SBJBC members from the healthcare and education sectors and will be based upon the composition of the mission delegates.

  • Opportunities for UK companies include: healthcare supply chain industries; commissioning of facilities & clinical services; training for nursing staff and Accountable Health Partnerships (AHPs); design and construction of smart hospitals and health centres; health centre equipment; ICT; facilities management and delivery of clinical services. 
  • Mission participants must be British exporters of goods or services. They may be a UK registered subsidiary of a foreign company, provided they are actively contributing to the British economy. 


Market information:

  • The Kingdom’s population is expected to grow by more than 20% in the next two years which will lead to a significant increase in the demand for healthcare. 
  • The Saudi Government have a £60billion healthcare development programme which will lead to large scale investment in infrastructure, workforce and systems development. 
  • A political, economic and business fundamentals Briefing will be given by AEI with the possible participation of the British Embassy.
