The Middle East Association (MEA) lead two missions a year to the Kingdom and are delighted to launch a new concept for this May event whereby the mission will focus on a full programme in Riyadh and delegates can then also take advantage of the extensive knowledge of the Mission Leader and travel with him beyond Riyadh to the Eastern Province and Jeddah.


About the Mission:

  • The mission features Riyadh as the key centre, but participants may chose to visit the Eastern Province and Jeddah with the Mission Leader and take advantage of his extensive experience and contacts in all markets.
  • A key feature of MEA Missions to Saudi Arabia is the built-in flexibility offered to participants who may vary their own itinerary to meet individual company objectives.
  • A working breakfast will be arranged in Riyadh to brief mission members on the local economy and specific opportunities, with hot contacts suggested where possible.
  • The Missions objective is to introduce new British companies and particularly small and medium sized enterprises (SME’s), to the Kingdom and to help existing exporters to strengthen their presence.,

  • The Mission will be led by David Lloyd, Senior Consultant at the Association. He has extensive experience of the Saudi market and this will be the 21st Mission he has led to the Kingdom.
  • You will receive assistance in obtaining your Saudi Business Visit Visa.
  • There will be a Mission Brochure which will advertise your product/service to potential contacts.
  • A comprehensive programme of group meetings will be arranged.


Who is the Mission for:

  • This Mission will be multi-sector and open to all; but sectors of particular interest to the Saudis include education and training; healthcare; transportation; mining; renewable energy and infrastructure.
  • Mission participants must be British exporters of goods or services. They may be a UK registered subsidiary of a foreign company, provided they are actively contributing to the British economy.
  • Members, and non-members of the Association are invited to join this Mission


Market Information

  • The Saudi economy is growing at about 3% pa and is the largest in the MENA Region. Business opportunities abound.
  • UK-Saudi bilateral trade is worth about £8bn
  • The potential of the Saudi market for British goods and services and the high regard in which the quality of British products is held, cannot be overstated.
  • Education and training, healthcare, transportation, water management including desalination and sources of renewable energy and mining are all sectors continuing to grow apace where there is enormous scope for UK products, services and expertise.
